Do you have a desire to express yourself artistically? Need an outlet for your creative ideas? Looking to perfect your skills and develop deeper ideas? Then ¶¶ÒõÂþ»â€™s Art major is for you!

Students enrolled in the Art program at ¶¶ÒõÂþ» are being equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to flourish as future artists, educators, art therapists, and entrepreneurs, post-graduation. The department is housed in one of the most energy-efficient buildings of its kind in North America: The Harm A. Weber Academic Center. With it’s 88,000 square foot layout, it is not short on space for painting, drawing, and ceramic studios, as well as individual studio spaces and ¶¶ÒõÂþ»â€™s library. Not only does it harbor the myriad of studio spaces, but it also boasts the work of local and national artists through its on-campus not-for-profit Draewell Gallery. During the spring semester of senior year for our art, design, and architecture students, they will have the opportunity to present in a professional gallery setting, preparing them for interviews and presentations following graduation.

The Art program requires an internship during senior year. ¶¶ÒõÂþ» students have interned at places such as the Milwaukee Art Museum and Rockford Art Museum. With high level training and experienced professors, students are placed in a professional environment right away, pushing them on their individual paths to success.
