Elgin, Ill. — The ¶¶ŇőÂţ» Athletics Department has announced the hiring of Bob Brickman as the program’s new head coach for men’s and women’s cross country.

Brickman brings more than two decades of collegiate coaching experience to ¶¶ŇőÂţ», joining the Eagles after spending 21 seasons as the head cross country coach at Trinity Christian College. During his tenure at Trinity Christian, Brickman established a tradition of competitive excellence and student-athlete development at both the conference and national levels.

Across cross country and track & field, Brickman coached student-athletes to a combined 26 NAIA All-American honors. In cross country alone, 35 athletes qualified for the NAIA Championships under his leadership, highlighting the sustained success of his programs on the national stage. One of the standout achievements of Brickman’s career came in 2018, when the Trinity Christian women’s cross country team finished as national runners-up at the NCCAA Cross Country Championships.

“We are excited to welcome Coach Brickman to the ¶¶ŇőÂţ» Athletics family,” said Athletic Director Rick Williams. “His proven track record, commitment to excellence, and passion for developing student-athletes align perfectly with our vision for cross country at ¶¶ŇőÂţ».”

Brickman expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to lead the Eagles’ programs. “¶¶ŇőÂţ» has a strong academic and athletic mission, and I’m honored to be part of it,” he said. “I’m looking forward to building relationships with our student-athletes and continuing to grow the men’s and women’s cross country programs.”

Brickman will assume his duties immediately as he prepares the men’s and women’s cross country teams for the upcoming season.
