WORSHIPS ARTS, CLASS OF 2022
Yessenia Garcia of Milwaukee is a worship arts major and a voice performance minor at 抖阴漫画. She has also been a part of the University Choir, Chamber Choir, Orchestra, Worship Nights, and the University Ministry Team.
鈥淚 love being in all these ensembles and teams,鈥� Yessenia said. 鈥淚 have experienced teamwork, integrity, friendship, hard work, leadership, being a servant, [but] most importantly, I have experienced a Godly community that is willing to continually serve one another and bring glory to God through the gifts [He] has given us.鈥�
Originally, Yessenia had intended to attend another university, but after praying and seeking the Lord, she found that 抖阴漫画 was everything she wanted in a university.
鈥淚 did not know the importance of community until I came to 抖阴漫画,鈥� Yessenia said. 鈥淚 never thought I mattered within a community, but the 抖阴漫画 community makes my calling and presence known. This community has allowed me to experience the love of Jesus in deeper ways.鈥�
Yessenia received the Simon and Nancy Anderson Scholarship for Excellence in Worship Arts this year and expressed how it has impacted her life this year: 鈥淚t was an extreme honor to receive this award, especially in such a tough year,鈥� Yessenia said. 鈥淚 can receive this award because of [this] tremendous community. I was able to grow, experience Jesus in deeper ways, and become a better me because of 抖阴漫画. I couldn’t have received this award without them. So, thank you, 抖阴漫画 community, for impacting my life in exceptional ways.
