Announces Tuition and Fees for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

Elgin, Ill. — has announced tuition and fee rates for the 2026–2027 academic year following approval by the University’s Board of Trustees. The updated rates reflect ’s continued commitment to academic excellence, student support services, and long-term institutional sustainability.

For the 2026–2027 academic year, undergraduate tuition for traditional undergraduate and RISE students will be $15,835 per semester, or $31,670 annually. This represents a modest increase designed to help offset rising operational costs while maintaining the quality of education and campus resources students expect at .

In addition to tuition, the following fees will apply:

  • Student Life Fee:$265 per semester ($235 for commuter students)
  • Technology Fee:$265 per semester

Room and board rates vary depending on the selected meal plan:

  • 19-Meal Plan:$6,960 per semester
  • 14-Meal Plan:$6,835 per semester
  • 10-Meal Plan:$6,675 per semester

All residential meal plans include flex dollars.

University leadership emphasized that the tuition adjustment is part of a broader effort to balance affordability with necessary investments in faculty, academic programs, student services, and campus infrastructure.

Even with the approved adjustment,’s tuition remains approximately 20% lower than the average tuition at comparable private colleges, reinforcing the University’s focus on delivering strong value without compromising academic quality.

National data consistently show the long-term value of earning a college degree. Individuals with a bachelor’s degree earn an average of$463 more in median weekly wages, equating to approximately$24,336 more annually,and are46% less likely to be unemployedthan those without a degree. is committed to helping students achieve these outcomes through rigorous academics, career preparation, and a supportive campus community.
